Metaform are proud to introduce their new 'Eliminator' joint system, so named because it effectively eliminates the problems normally associated with conventional joints in concrete slabs.
This revolutionary new concept uses the latest high strength steel technology to place a 3mm bridging steel strip across the joint gap. The Eliminator strip is designed to accommodate 30mm of movement, and to take wheel loads of 5 tonnes with minimal deflection.
As the diagram below shows, the Eliminator covers the armoured joint, with the movement being accommodated to the side of the joint, i.e. over the full depth of the slab. This eliminates the requirement for multiple applications of costly deep section joint filler and because the already armoured arris is covered, no damage or spalling can occur, thereby avoiding expensive repairs to this normally vulnerable area.
As easy to install as the standard Metaform using the Speedfix or adjustable feet, this system is still compliant to the exacting demands of Superflat Floor specification, is user friendly and extremely cost effective.
