Metadowel and Sleeve Load Transfer System.

The Metadowel is a new concept in the field of load transfer mechanisms. Its unique corrugated feature greatly enhances its bending capability, especially over the wider gaps commonly associated with modern slab construction.

The Metadowel's bending, bearing and shearing capacity are higher than any other dowel system, whilst its unique patent and design protected shape permits placing at up to 600mm centres for most floors, thereby increasing efficiency and ease of installation.

Whilst Metadowel was designed for use in the Metaform screed rail, it can easily be used with timber forms. The impact resistant plastic sleeve can be fixed securely to the timber using nails or staples and when the timber is stripped away, the sleeve is left cast in the slab into which the steel dowel is then inserted.
