The LESA® Speed Edge Joint is a robust galvanised-steel armoured construction joint developed for external concrete pavements and light-to-medium-duty industrial floors exposed to pneumatic-tyre traffic.
Its radiused inner steel edge creates a smoother transition across the joint, reducing impact on the concrete arris as vehicles pass between adjoining slab panels. Continuous anchorage securely engages the steel edge protection with the concrete, helping reduce joint-edge damage, spalling and ongoing pavement maintenance.
Speed Edge can incorporate the LESA® Dominator Dowel System or be custom-manufactured with alternative dowel sizes and configurations to suit the slab design, expected joint movement and applied loads. This provides positive load transfer between adjoining slab panels while allowing the joint to accommodate concrete shrinkage and movement.
Available as either a free-standing system with adjustable fixing feet or a nail-on system for conventional timber formwork, Speed Edge is quick to position, straightforward to level and manufactured to suit the required slab depth.
